Agroecology Coalition

GLOBAL ACADEMY and its partners are an active member of the Agroecology Coalition that was founded to address the multiple interlinked crises in food, climate, and biodiversity. It supports the transformation of food systems through agroecology. It provides a mechanism for a growing number of countries (currently > 50) and 250 stakeholder institutions (currently > 250) to collaborate for concrete outcomes on the basis of a co-create strategy.

The Coalition’s work is guided by the 13 principles of Agroecology defined by the High-Level Panel of Experts for Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) that are aligned with the 10 Elements of Agroecology adopted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)’s Council in December 2019.
